4/3/17 - Former CVSC Players Bonnie Zuniga and Celeste Sanchez were key members on the Hancock women's soccer team last fall. The two freshmen earned all-conference recognition after the season. Both have also earned another major honor together – they received scholarships to continue their soccer careers at a four-year institution, Waldorf University.

2/11/17 - CVSC hosted two international friendly matches with a team from Victoria, BC Canada on February 11 at Pioneer Valley High School at 11:00am and 3:00pm. The Saanich Fusion Rowdies faced off against members of CVSC Girls team.
Juan Montelongo of CVSC Katana B00 has been selected for the Cal South PRO+ ODP Player Pool for Boys 2001. The PRO+ ODP program is in its Identification and Development cycle where the players are working to get called into the US Soccer & Cal South Elite Player Performance event this summer in Ojai, Calif., which will include staff from US Soccer on hand searching for players for potential inclusion in the youth national team programs.
4/11/16 - CVSC Katana B00 Player Juan Marcos Piñon was one of 22 selected out of 400 players from all over the country to enter the MLS Sueno Academy selection program.
Pinon and four other field players will join finalists from Portland and New York next month on May 4th through 8th to compete in the Sueño MLS National Finals at StubHub Center for a spot in their MLS team’s academy. Professional scouts from the LA Galaxy, Portland Timbers and New York Redbulls will be on site to select players for Academy teams. Pioon will attend the National Finals, where he will receive special instruction and mentoring from international soccer stars.
From the MLS website……. Piñon’s ability to play multiple positions exceeded expectations. Usually a right fullback, the Santa Maria, California native also played on the left side, and took on all comers despite his 5-foot-5 stature. “We really liked his pace and his field awareness,” remarked Galaxy staff coach Paul Soufl. “More than the other defenders, we thought he had a sense of place on the field.”
CVSC Vipers G97 attended the 2015 FIFA WWC in Vancouver an awesome experience attending 3 WC games (USA v Nigeria, Japan v Cameroon, Switz v Ecuador) and played 1 friendly game vs VAFC -U17 (98) Roadrunners, a gold level team in the U-17 BC Coastal Girls League. CVSC Vipers G97 stayed across the street from BC place stadium. They also hiked Grouse Mountain, biked Stanley Park and toured the University of British Columbia. It was a great experience that the Girls will remember for the rest of their lives.
